Rice Coming, at 218 Borough High Street, specialises in Hunan cuisine, with bold, quite spicy dishes using Sichuan spices and chillies, with salty and sour notes. They have a stinky tofu challenge, and I failed, certainly not for me, but I really enjoyed the rest.
My absolute favourites were the braised beef rice noodles in a six hour slow cooked broth and the stir fried pork with crispy rice. From the Hunan tapas I loved the steamed minced pork with egg and the pork ribs. Chill atmosphere and surprisingly busy for a Monday.
