Murivecchi opened its doors over 20 years ago in El Born and has reigned as a true institution of traditional Italian cuisine in Barcelona. Its founder, Ciro Esposito, from Naples, runs the kitchen and the wood fired pizza oven with his family, using pasta from Gragnano.
We had the parmigiana di melanzane, a stuffed zucchini flower, the Cestino pizza dough basket with burrata and mortadella, a carbonara and a tiramisù. Everything is homemade and truly authentic, you really feel like you're in Italy.
