The Coconut Island has just opened in Angel, bringing a true taste of Sri Lanka to London after building a loyal following in Brighton. It's much more than a restaurant, it's an experience, with music, energy and a team that makes you feel instantly welcome.
We loved the egg hopper, the black pork, their signature, the pineapple curry and the beef kothu, my favourite. Spicy, rich, fresh and deeply flavourful, and the cocktails are just as fun, with the Down South served in a fresh pineapple.
