Sa Laa Thai is one of only five restaurants in Belgium with the Thai Select label, and it was the first time since our trip to Thailand that I got those exact flavours back. It's run in a family home, with chef Tine, who grew up in Bangkok, cooking and her children serving.
It's in Wuustwezel, just outside Antwerp, and the trip is absolutely worth it. The 4-course menu is €55 with meat and €59 with fish, great value for the quality. The Khao Soi took me straight back to Thailand and the pork belly with pepper was my absolute favourite.
