A little bit of Japan on Antwerp's Eilandje. Hiro is a Japanese-inspired restaurant where you sit at the counter and watch the chefs prepare your dishes, intimate and perfect for date night.
You can go for the omakase menu at €125 or order à la carte, izakaya style, which is what we did. The wagyu tataki was the fattiest, most tender I've ever had, the miso caramelised aubergine (€8) was perfect and the sashimi platter (€18) was so fresh. For two with a cocktail and a glass of wine each we paid €215.
