There's a new handroll bar on the block. Kumori has landed in Soho with a seriously cool low-lit space, counter seating and a banging playlist.
The toro taku was the standout for me, buttery and melt-in-your-mouth. The spicy scallop and the warm baked crab signature roll were hits too, while the snow crab yuzu was a little too citrusy for me. The cocktails are worth checking out, especially the margaritas.
