It's been about 18 years since I last stood on this poolside. I used to work at Bon Accord Baths, so walking back in after all this time was a very strange feeling. The baths opened in 1940, closed in 2008, and for decades they were part of everyday life in Aberdeen.
Bon Accord Heritage is working to protect the building and bring it back into use. The spectator seating, the enormous vaulted roof and the woodwork are all still there, and I really hope this isn't one of the buildings Aberdeen loses.
