What does a cathedral in Aberdeen have to do with the history of America? Quite a lot, as it turns out. This is St Andrew's Cathedral on King Street, and I got a proper look around during Doors Open Days.
Samuel Seabury, from Connecticut, came to Britain after the American Revolution looking to be consecrated as a bishop, and Scotland stepped in. He was consecrated in Aberdeen in 1784, becoming the first Anglican bishop for America, a link that still matters today.

- Jaime Pereira : I had no idea the first American Episcopal bishop was consecrated in Aberdeen.
- Luis Martínez : That Atlantic connection makes the building far more interesting.
