A long lunch at The Boat in Erbistock. Set on the banks of the River Dee near Wrexham, it perfectly balances traditional country pub charm with beautifully executed, modern cooking.
We somehow ordered a seafood lunch, but there are meat and veggie alternatives. We recommend the pan-fried sea bass with lobster bisque, the Keralan mango and tamarind seafood curry, and the velvet chocolate torte with cherries. Every dish felt vibrant, seasonal and beautifully presented, and the riverside setting is stunning.
