One of my favorite experiences in Parma wasn't in a restaurant. It was visiting Ferrarini e Bonetti and seeing how authentic Parmigiano Reggiano is made, during a food tour with Parma Look.
Walking through rooms lined with thousands of aging cheese wheels and tasting the Parmigiano Reggiano was such a cool and tasty experience. I think the best way to experience Italy isn't just eating the food, it's discovering where its most iconic flavors come from.
