She Cooks Cappadocia

This didn't feel like going out to eat. It felt like being welcomed into someone's home.
We discovered this beautiful tasting menu in Göreme, Cappadocia, and it reminded me why food is such a special part of travelling. The atmosphere was warm and homely, we watched the dishes come together and I even got shown how to make one of them.
Then came little plates of Turkish flavours, one after another, each beautifully presented, including a course served in a traditional pottery pot that she tapped open at the table. It was the warmth, the kitchen, the little interactions that made it so special.
