The Eye of the Earth is one of Croatia's most surreal natural wonders. It's the source of the Cetina River, a deep freshwater spring at the base of the mountains, and from above its round shape and emerald colour look like a giant eye staring up at the sky.
Even in summer it stays around 8°C, and the depth drops off quickly with strong underwater currents, so swim only with extreme caution.
