Sunset at Geisler Alm in Val di Funes is the highlight of the Dolomites for me. Watching the peaks catch that final alpine glow is worth every step of the hike.
Just be ready for the way back, because once the glow disappears you'll be hiking down in total darkness. The path is safe and easy to follow, but carry a torch or a headlamp.
