Muriel's, New Orleans

One of the most haunted restaurants in New Orleans, and if you're brave you might get to dine at the table of Jourdan, the 19th century owner who lost the building in a poker game.

This is Muriel's on Chartres Street. We chose the three course table d'hote menu for $56, with seafood gumbo and shrimp and goat cheese crepes to start, then shrimp and grits. The food is phenomenal, and there is a Seance Lounge upstairs.

  • Alvaro Soldevilla: Shrimp and grits plus the Seance Lounge upstairs, I'd do both.
  • Victorino Anguera: A table set with bread and wine for the ghost, love that.
