The Mirador del Río, situated on the Risco de Famara cliff at an altitude of almost 500 metres, offers a spectacular panoramic view of the island of Lanzarote. It is home to one of architect César Manrique’s most iconic buildings.
Barely visible from the outside as it is hidden beneath the rock, this building by Manrique represents the perfect integration with nature. On the outside, it features a wrought-iron sculpture symbolising water and air.
Inside, visitors will find traditional ceramics, numerous sculptures and large windows offering a beautiful view of the island. Also not to be missed are its main vaulted hall, its domes and its outdoor balconies.
