Bellver Castle has served various purposes throughout history. King James II had it built as a royal residence. In the 19th century, it became a mint. Its structure is notable for its circular shape.
It has three turrets and a keep divided into four storeys. The rooms and ancillary spaces are arranged over two storeys in the inner courtyard. On the second storey there is a chapel.
