No, this isn't Spain, it's a £5 return beach train in Zone 6 London. Ruislip Lido has an actual sandy beach, a woodland nature reserve and the cutest mini steam train running right along the lake.
Take the Central or Metropolitan line to Ruislip, then a quick 10-minute ride on the H13 bus to the Lido. You can do lakeside and forest walks, there's a big café, ice cream next to the beach and plenty of picnic spots. A super budget friendly day out.
