Barrio de Santa Cruz
Barrio de Santa Cruz · Sevilla
Por Spain ·

As you stroll through its streets, you can see 12th-century buildings, such as the Real Alcázar, and such iconic structures as the Cathedral, the General Archive of the Indies, the Hospital de los Venerables and the Town Hall. Among the narrow streets that wind through the neighbourhood like rivers, we also come across the parishes of El Sagrario and Santa Cruz, and the Chapel of Santa María de Jesús.
Two convents also stand out along the route: San José del Carmen and La Encarnación. All this, combined with the typical colourful baseboards and the scent of orange blossom in Seville’s streets, makes this a must-see walk for anyone visiting Seville.
