It was the artist César Manrique who transformed a volcanic tube to create this Centre for Art, Culture and Tourism, which takes visitors on a journey where art and nature come together. Inside is a spectacular natural lake that is connected to the sea.
It is home to an endemic species of very small, albino and blind crabs. There is also a turquoise-watered pool, the Atlantis Tunnel and the world’s only auditorium inside a volcanic cave, with a capacity for 550 people.
