Palacio Real de Miramar
Palacio Real de Miramar · San Sebastián
Por Spain ·

The palace was designed by the English architect Selden Wornun in 1888, but was built by Benito Olasagasti, under the supervision of the architect José Goicoa. The palace comprises a basement and three storeys; the first two are for private use, whilst the top storey, with its sloping ceiling, was reserved for the servants.
Access from one side is via a Tudor arch, decorated with relief carvings. The façade features the Habsburg coat of arms, the date MDCCCXCII and the octagonal tower. Within the complex, the Casa de los Oficios, the Portería and the Cuerpo de Guardia are of particular note.
