Museo Chillida Leku, San Sebastián

In Hernani, 10 kilometres from San Sebastián-Donostia, lies this very special museum, which allows visitors to delve into the unique world of the Basque artist Eduardo Chillida. After 15 years of restoration, the artist refurbished the Zabalaga farmhouse, where visitors can now view his smaller works, drawings and even his early torso sculptures.

However, the most spectacular part of the exhibition is outside, on an 11-hectare site where nearly 40 large-scale sculptures are scattered, including highlights such as *Buscando la luz I* and *Lotura XXXII*.

The museum, which was closed to the general public between 2011 and 2019, has been refurbished in a project led by the architect Luis Laplace – known for his work in sustainable restoration – in collaboration with Eduardo Chillida and the Dutch landscape architect Piet Oudof.
