Picturesque Andalusian-Arabic beauty. Zuheros, in the Córdoba mountains, preserves its traditional architecture of white houses with ochre-coloured roofs.

Situated at the foot of a Moorish castle, the 16th-century church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios stands out, as does the Local History Museum, which displays some archaeological finds from the Cueva de los Murciélagos. This natural cave, a must-see, lies beneath the mountain and was inhabited as far back as the Neolithic period.

It is situated four kilometres from the village and, as well as housing cave paintings, offers a superb panoramic view of the surrounding area.
