Dare to dream: Sommelier José María Ruiz dared to dream. Over three decades ago Pago de Carraovejas was founded to create great wines in a region that José María felt had massive potential. The initial winery was founded with just nine hectares but with the vision of becoming a benchmark within the Ribera del Duero. Today it has 180 hectares of vines and a futuristic, gravity-flow winery.
