Acueducto de Los Milagros
Acueducto de Los Milagros · Badajoz
Por Spain ·

This aqueduct follows the contours of the land, and various materials were used in its construction, including brick, rough ashlar, masonry and natural rock.
It has three rows of arches, and originally featured distribution towers, a sedimentation basin and a stepped terminal reservoir for water settling. In the Albarregas Valley area, it stands 25 metres high.
The materials used in its construction – granite and brick – give it a distinctive colour scheme. Its semicircular arches are reinforced by arches at varying heights.
