The venue was built as an inn and theatre. It served both purposes. The courtyard housing the stage measures 300 square metres and is surrounded by 54 straight wooden posts set on stone bases to prevent damp.
It currently has a capacity of 300 people and continues to be used as a venue for theatrical performances as part of the International Classical Theatre Festival.
