Casa Milà "La Pedrera" · Barcelona
Por Spain ·

La Pedrera-Casa Milà is Antoni Gaudí’s most iconic residential building, both for its innovative construction and functionality and for its decorative and ornamental features. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and also the architect’s final residential project.
La Pedrera is the only Gaudí interpretation centre in Barcelona, and a must-visit for anyone wishing to gain a comprehensive understanding of the architect’s entire body of work and his sources of inspiration. Visitors can explore a total of 4,500 m² spread over five floors and choose from various types of tour depending on the time slot.
Built between 1906 and 1912, the building’s exterior consists of a succession of stone walls. Inside, there are various painted courtyards, columns and a range of rooms.
The undulating façade features large windows and wrought-iron balconies. On the roof, the chimneys, true sculptures worthy of admiration, offer a splendid view over the whole of Barcelona.
