Inaugurated on July 14, 1989, the bicentenary of the French Revolution, the Grande Arche is the emblematic monument of the La Défense business district. It is built on the historic axis of Paris and offers a unique perspective on the Arc de Triomphe, the obelisk of the Place de la Concorde and the Louvre museum.
Walkers and architecture lovers admire this 110-meter-high arch, covered with granite, the original shape of which is that of a hollowed-out cube, the opening of which could contain Notre-Dame.
