At Udo-jingu Shrine, visit the main sanctuary tucked inside a cliffside cave before trying a unique local tradition. Made by local elementary and junior high school students and their families, each small clay ball, called an “undama,” is carefully shaped by hand. Toss one toward a hollow in a rock 12 meters away — if it lands inside, it’s said your wish may come true!
