The Singular Patagonia, on the cusp of the Last Hope Sound in far-flung Puerto Natales – gateway to Torres del Paine National Park – is a former sheep-processing plant turned luxury Chilean hotel. On your way to dinner, you’ll slip past rooms full of intact machinery or the old tannery, preserved as part of the rustic-luxe design of the hotel. Despite its end-of-the-earth setting, all creature comforts have been thought of, including a vast spa and top-notch restaurant where Patagonian cordero (lamb) is the speciality.
