The differences between leite creme and crème brûlée are subtle but right there. Leite creme is cooked on the stove rather than baked, made with milk instead of cream, thickened with a little flour or cornstarch, flavoured with lemon peel and cinnamon, and burnt with an iron rather than a torch.
