Palais Garnier, Paris

Step into 150 years of Palais Garnier Paris.

The iconic Opéra Garnier is located in the heart of Paris. It is also known as the Palais Garnier, in honor of the architect Charles Garnier. The ceiling of the auditorium is adorned with the famous painted vault “Apollo and the Muses” by Marc Chagall.

The Opéra Garnier has been the stage for many famous operas like Phantom of the Opera and many classical ballets.

The grand staircase or Grand Escalier was built of marble of various colors in a magnificent vault 30 meters tall. It is one of the most photographed locations in Paris.

Le Grand Foyer is often compared to the Hall of Mirrors at Palace of Versailles. Completely adorned in gold and detailed frescoes that feature themes from history of music.

To celebrate this historical bday, I joined my friends to experience a private ballet rehearsal and visit the beautiful Palais Garnier which was absolute magic!
