A new opening in East Lothian that is a hidden gem. Eve's Court at Papple Steading is a relaxed yet luxurious cafe and wine bar in the tranquil countryside, only 40 minutes from Edinburgh.
It's some of the best food I've eaten in a long time, and very reasonably priced. The poached langoustines with pickled kohlrabi and fermented chilli (£18.50) are a must order, and the quince tarte tatin (£9.50) is worth saving room for.
